how to disable/hide component progress dialog

Hi, is there an easy way to disable or hide the component installation progress dialog either through the configuration or in the source?

Thanks,

Nope. I copied this to a feature request.

Updated: if you're going to try to code this, it should be pretty simple since the progress dialog already doesn't show in silent UI. You need to add an option to the configuration to show/hide it and adjust a couple of if-s.

Thanks,

For now, I've just commented "m_component_dlg.DoModal();"

Also, is there a cancel button for the extractcab dialog?

p.s. keep up the good work.

You should make it a feature and send a patch, it will be good for everybody :)

The extractcab dialog doesn't have a cancel button, but it can be cancelled with Escape.

This is in build 1.10.7728.0.

  • Added show_progress_dialog at setup configuration and component level, controls whether to show the component install progress dialog.
  • Added show_cab_dialog at setup configuration and component level, controls whether to show the CAB extraction progress dialog.

Give it a try, let me know how it works.

Tried it out in 1.10 and it works fine, thanks!
