How to prevent .NET Framework 4 installer from starting in repair mode

Jul 15, 2011 at 1:51 PM

I am using dotnetinstaller.exe to install all the prerequisities such as .NET Framework 4. I included two existance-check files to the configuration file (searching in the registry and in a directory).
Component's exeparameters is /q /norestart /log "#APPPATH/dotnetframework4.log". I wanna to skip this prerequisite in case it's already had been installed. But anyway it runs in repair mode. Any help?

Registry check:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full
comparison version_eq
fieldname Version fieldvalue 4.0.30319
Directory check:
path #WINDOWSPATH\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319

Is it not detecting that .NET 4.0 is already installed? Someone contributed a different installed check to dotNetInstaller 2.0.

<installedcheck type="check_registry_value" description="Installed Check" wowoption="NONE" rootkey="HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" comparison="match" fieldtype="REG_DWORD" defaultvalue="False" fieldvalue="1" fieldname="Install" path="SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full"/>
