Try to call dos command as complete_command

Oct 6, 2011 at 10:56 AM

In my config.xml for DotNetInstaller (I'm using dotNetInstaller.1.9 but it shouldn't make a difference)

I put in this line as complete_command :

complete_command="rmdir /S/Q "#TEMPPATH\#GUID\Resources\CVS""

But after installation is completed I get a message that the specified file is not available.

I checked the path for #TEMPPATH\#GUID\Resources\CVS and it is ok .

Calling this line in a cmd works properly and it does what it should do.

So is it not possible to call rmdir within a complete_command?

Can you please attach the relevant lines from the log?

rmdir exists. I stored the DotNetInstaller log. I could take the path from there and remove the CVS folder using the line you see below.

This is the relevant log entry:

2011-10-06 12:02:20 *** Failed to install one or more components: 0x80070002 - CreateProcessW: rmdir /S/Q "C:\Users\jockel\AppData\Local\Temp\{571E327C-51F4-47E1-9E03-BAAA2334EBCF}\Resources\CVS": Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden. <= saying that it can’t find the specified file.

thanks and cheers

rmdir doesn't exist, it's something that cmd.exe supports. Try cmd.exe /C "rmdir /S /Q ..."
