Invoking from CMD file on Windows 7

Nov 23, 2009 at 9:58 PM

I have a cmd file with the below command which works ok on XP and Vista

installerlinker /c:PROGRAM_Setup.xml  /t:C:\PATHTO\dotNetInstaller.exe /b:C:\PATHTO\banner.bmp /i:C:\PATHTO\Install.ico /o:Installation\PROGRAM_7.0.3.0_SETUP.exe

When run under Windows 7 the UAC elevated privledges dialoag appears and when you click ok. InstallerLinker is executed in a new process window.

Any ideas how to automate the build in Windows 7 ?

Which version of RI are you using? I added a proper manifest to avoid this in 1.7.

InstallerLinker.exe is version 1.7.29433.0

Thanks for your quick reply

I'll have to get a hold of a Windows 7. I don't promise it to be quick. In the meantime, if you want to do some work, check out the source - there's got to be something wrong in the manifest related to something new in Windows 7 that is embedded with InstallerLinker that makes this happen. If you find a a solution, attach a patch to the bug I am about to file.
